The aircraft will be retrofitted with an electric and hydrogen-powered MagniX engine and tested on short regional flights. Electric aircraft are said to be 30-40% quieter than turbine powered aircraft and up to 40% cheaper to operate.

Rex Business Class features locally sourced ingredients and wine, as well as recyclable yet stylish packaging. Even the dining tray is recyclable which is a global first!

The airline has partnered with Do-Good-Labs to source the savoury snacks served in the main cabin. Do-Good-Labs is a Brisbane-based organisation that produces a range of tasty snacks and donates 50% of its profits to charities working to help communities and people in need.
