A Bright Future, 30 Years in the Making

Stage and Screen Travel Services, Australia's leading entertainment and sports travel management company, has announced the appointment of Wonitta Atkins as General Manager (Australia), effective 1 December 2025.

The appointment comes as Stage and Screen celebrates its 30th anniversary and reflects the company's deep commitment to 'Brightness of Future' – Flight Centre Travel Group's foundational philosophy of promoting from within and creating inspiring career pathways for its people.

Atkins' journey with Stage and Screen is a testament to this philosophy. Joining nearly a decade ago as an Account Manager, she has progressed through Head of Account Management and Head of Operations, delivering exceptional results at every step – including leading the operational response to the Queen's passing in 2022, ensuring all Australian television networks were broadcasting from London within days.

Her Stage and Screen story, however, began even earlier. Before joining the company, Atkins held senior sales and marketing leadership roles with Accor Hotels and Rydges, where Stage and Screen was one of her key clients. It was this firsthand experience of the company's service excellence that drew her to join the team.

Under her operational leadership, Stage and Screen was named NTIA Most Outstanding National Travel Management Company in 2023, achieved industry-leading client retention of 98%, and recorded the highest Great Place to Work uplift across Flight Centre Travel Group at 20%.

Atkins holds a Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management from Victoria University, with majors in Marketing and Human Resources. She has been recognised with multiple Flight Centre Travel Group Global Awards and General Manager Awards throughout her tenure.
